The Death Quads are currently in the off-season, relaxing at our palatial seaside compound, enjoying a steady diet of fried scallops and indulging in a daily strawberry-paste body scrub. It’s times like this we wonder how the other 99% live.

Keep an eye out for some off-season event updates that will put a little more money in our coffers, and we look forward to seeing you in the 2012 season.

The Death Quads will be playing their Final! Bout! of the 2011 season vs. our good friends / bitter enemies Harm City Homicide. The men’s bout is the opening act of a double-header hosted by our allies the Connecticut Roller Girls; in the main event, the CTRG Yankee Brutals will take on the Maine Calamity Janes. Our ’80s Skate Night Fundraiser, scheduled for Sat. Sept. 10, is canceled. Our venue, Longbeach Skateland in Stratford, Conn., was damaged by Hurricane Irene. Dammit!

We’re working to reschedule a date as soon as possible. Stay tuned, and, together, we’ll all get our frosted tips on.

Okay, I, Zakk, been really bad about updating the site. To administer a well-deserved smack to Zakk, click here.

With that out of the way, big thanks to the Quadfathers for coming down from Utica and playing a hard-fought bout. Final score was Death Quads 220 Quadfathers 50, with Pastor of Muppets taking MVP for the DQs and Grambo for the QFs. Have yourself a looksee at some pics here.

Extra huge thanks to Suburbia Roller Derby for hosting the DQs and QFs as the opening bout of their league championship game. Death Quads loves Suburbia!

Stay turned for our next big event, the return of ’80s Skate Night at Stratford, Conn., on Sat. Sept. 10. More details posted in the next few days (I swear).

The Death Quads will host our first home bout of the season, taking on the brand-new league Infinite Mass, hailing from the south shore of Massachusetts.

We’re just off our three-bout weekend at Spring Roll in Indiana, where we went 1-2, and we’re hungry for another victory, while Infinite Mass is looking to prove themselves in their first official bout outing, so look for some concussive men’s derby action.

A half-hour women’s bout between CTRG’s Yankee Brutals and a mixed team of Suburbia Roller Derby will get things going.
